There are many places in the world that I have seen touted as the top romantic and luxurious destinations, and also over the top and out of reach for most of the middle class. 

Don't put off heading out to experience a Romantic getaway because of this.

With these suggestions, you certainly may, but don't have to be part of the wealthy elite in order to have a romantic, luxurious and memorable vacation.

1. Paris, France

You cannot beat holding hands walking along the Seine on a clear summer’s night. Get a baguette and a bottle of wine and have a picnic then stop to Tango in one of the little roman amphitheaters along the river. On the way home share a dessert crepe. Don’t forget to take that flippy skirt and Tango shoes.

Venice

2. Venice, Italy 

A ride in a gondola…well everyone knows this is as romantic as it gets. If it is within your budget take the orient express from Paris to Venice. Take your very best clothes; you can even go black tie on this train. It adds to the feeling of luxury.

3. Most anywhere in Tuscany, Italy

Check out aggro tourism and stay in a secluded location. Buy Chianti or the house brand of wine when you get there.

4. The French riviera especially Nice

Go to the Romantic zone find a restaurant, there are literally hundreds to choose from. Then watch the sunset from the beach and then stroll on the Malecon. Pack a sun dress and strapy silver sandals.
